Decode the signs.

Taking inspiration from automotive warning signs, we built our own visual language. Every sign gives you insight into the product. Decrypt the signs below for a better understanding of what's under the build.

The language behind the build.

Acronym.

/ˈakrənɪm/
— Noun

An abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word — e.g. ASCII, NASA.

"Abbreviations and acronyms are necessary in scrutiny and racing communication."

Every Dextrous build runs through a compact code system — a set of acronyms that compress what the product is, how it's made, and where it sits in the lineage.

The codes aren't decoration. OEM, RACEREP, DTC, DPL, AL, SP — each one names a specific decision that goes into the build, and each one carries weight in the way the work is documented and released.

Read the seven below to decode every product on the site. If a piece is tagged DTC, you know it's been carbon-treated in-house. If it's DPL, it's a limited drop. The codes do the talking.

— OEM · RACEREP · DTC · DPL · AL · SP · Downforce

Seven codes. One language.

The full glossary. Every product on the site carries one or more of these codes — read them once and the catalogue reads itself.

OEM

— Original Equipment MFG.

Designs that capture the essence and vibe of motorsports — speed, precision, engineering. Created in-house and marked by the distorted rake design: a lightning bolt running through a stretched-out chequered flag.

/ AC · 02 R

RACEREP

— Homologation Specials

Products that spring from existing motorsports lineage and are scaled or customized to their inspiration. Cars and motorcycles, but also tracks, gear, tools, accessories — anything that lives on the grid.

/ AC · 03 R

DOWNFORCEKIT

— Form + Function

Special accessory bits that seamlessly blend form and function. Form is the aesthetic and engineering edge. Function is exactly what it says — they help you stay grounded. More downforce, less drift.

/ AC · 04 R

DTC

— Dextrous Treated Carbon

Our custom in-house process — parts crafted with 100% real carbon fiber in a 2×2 twill weave. Hand-laid, cured, and treated for durability. Every piece earns the DTC mark only after it survives the bench.

/ AC · 05 R

DPL

— Dextrous Power Launch

Limited run products dropped at irregular intervals fall under this launch category. No calendar. No pre-orders. They appear when they're ready and disappear when they're gone. Follow the channels for drop updates.

/ AC · 06 R

AL

— Adaptive Lighting

Includes all things "light". Some products are equipped with lighting functionality made in-house — engineered the way they're meant to be. No hanging wires. No clumsy battery swaps. Built to be lived with.

/ AC · 07 R

SP

— Special Productions

Exclusive productions that combine a few — or all — of the above. Technical illustrations, composite materials, hand-finished hardware. Truly a high-spec creation by Dextrous, reminiscent of exotic motorcycles and hyper cars.
